Time is ticking down until Zorya: The Celestial Sisters finally arrives on Steam, the Epic Games Store and the Nintendo Switch. While the game that TLM Partners and MadLife Divertissement announced back in November will be here next month, the two companies are giving a bit of a glimpse into what makes the game tick via a new video that hit on Wednesday.

Zorya: The Celestial Sisters is a puzzle-filled adventure that is similar to a game like It Takes Two in that in order to succeed players will need to cooperate with another person either online or on their couch. Users can either pick to play as Aysu, the night goddess or Solveig the sun goddess and each character has different powers that will come in handy when trying to make a player's way through the world and solve the many puzzles put in the character's way. In order to succeed in the game, players will need to have great communication or they run the risk of dying on the planet of Viraj.

Zorya isn't a game that suggests that people get someone to play with them. In fact, the game requires it, much like It Takes Two, which features the need for co-op play both on the Switch and the PC. While that particular kind of way to play a game is getting more popular all the time, it can be hard to catch on right away.

That's why TLM Partners and MadLife Divertissement have put out a new video that shows off some of the mechanics that go into the game. This new package of vignettes does more than that though as it also shows off the design choices behind Zorya: The Celestial Sisters and how the game came to be.

This new video shows off exactly how Zorya takes advantage of the co-op mechanics of the game to help players get through Viraj and why the world was laid out the way it was. It also shows off why the developers went with the kind of artstyle they did, and how that allows the upcoming title to stand out from the crowd.

It does appear as though Zorya could stand out from the pack because it requires co-op play. While that particular format is getting a bit more popular thanks to games like It Takes Two, it's still something that isn't all that common. Users will get a chance to see it in action when it launches for early next month.

Zorya: The Celestial Sisters launches on February 8, 2022 for PC and Switch.
