After a year, major changes are coming to the already massively different Call of Duty: Warzone experience. Activision and Raven Software have implemented Zombies into the battle royale, but a recent leak suggests that more is coming in the near future. As Call of Duty: Warzone players predict apocalyptic results, it seems that the zombie invasion will be spreading faster than initially expected.

A series of packages have been shipped to Call of Duty: Warzone content creators with interesting contents. Similar to when Activision shipped streamers a wooden box, this new package has an intriguing clue hidden inside. Players and fans are confused as to what it means, but some content creators are believing that it is the key to the future of Verdansk.

The contents of the package were shared to Twitter by content creator PresitgeIsKey. The Call of Duty: Warzone fan received orange prisoner clothing along with a card that suggests something will be happening to the Gulag within Verdansk. The cryptic teaser referred to the Call of Duty: Warzone Gulag as a "ghoul-ag" which makes many fans believe that zombies will be spreading into the prison very soon. While some players believe it could be a new mode or event, others suggest that the zombies are merely spreading and may eventually cover the entire map of Verdansk.

Rumors have all but confirmed that the Zombies Outbreak Event will be occurring in Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. This event is rumored to be starting soon, and it could be related to the teaser seen in the Twitter post. Call of Duty: Warzone Season 2 still has tons of time left, but the end of the world may be drawing closer every day.

If zombies do spread through the entire map of Verdansk, then it is possible that they could be the trigger for nuclear devastation. Call of Duty: Warzone is rumored to be going through a massive change in the future, and this could be a valid way to get there. With other leakers introducing alternate game modes involving the undead, fans will soon run out of places to hide from the zombie horde.

Despite a positive reception, some Call of Duty: Warzone rumors concern fans. With the undead, nuclear missiles, and more events to come, some players are worried that the focus of the game may shift. Call of Duty: Warzone is a battle royale, and the undead chaos may overtake the goal of gaining a win.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
