  1. Break every crate in the dungeon. These crates frequently award arrows, and it is wise to have a stockpile of those projectiles before engaging the Wind Temple's boss in battle.
  2. Use Fire Fruit to melt ice mounds, as they hide rewards.
  3. Use the Ascend ability or TotK's fast travel feature to quickly return to the main deck when necessary.
  4. Locks are activated by hitting them with Tulin's Gust ability.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom - Find the Five Locks in the Wind Temple

Lock #1

The first lock can be found in small room in the northeast quadrant of 1F. To access it, players should use TotK's Ultrahand ability to pick up an icicle that is on the ground, and then attach that icicle to the broken lever that is adjacent to the room's entrance. Fans should then use Ultrahand to move the lever to the left, and this action that will cause the room's entrance to become unblocked.

Lock #2

For the next lock, players should make their way to the northwest quadrant of 1F, jump off the side of the ship, and use TotK's paraglider to float through an opening into B1. Fans should then head right and use Tulin's Gust ability to boost across the ice-covered gap. Upon reaching the other side of the gap, players should follow the path and use the Ascend ability to send Link up a level.

On this upper level, fans will find a large rod extending from the ceiling, and they should use Ultrahand to attach a nearby piece of debris to it. Players should then use Ultrahand to rotate the debris several times, causing the gate at the top of the ladder to repeatedly retract and protract. Fans should then hit the debris with Recall to cause that gate movement to occur without any further input, allowing them to climb the ladder and pass into the next room.

In that next room, players will encounter yet another ladder, and they should climb it to reach a previously-inaccessible room on 1F. This room is home to the second lock, and Zelda fans should direct Tulin to target it with Gust.

Lock #3

To reach the third lock, players should begin by locating a cannon that is attached to the west side of the ship. There is a hole directly underneath this cannon, and it leads to the lock in B2. While Tears of the Kingdom players should be able to enter this hole directly with a jump from 1F and some strong paragliding, it may be slightly easier to land on one of the large metal waings first and then advance into B2.

Lock #4

The first step toward accessing the next lock is using the paraglider to get a boost from the air current at the center of 1F. At the peak of this boost, players should glide to the top of the large structure to the north, using Tulin's Gust if necessary. Here, fans will find two large metal doors, and they should use Ultrahand to open one of them.

Players should now fall into the opening that they have created, using the paraglider to control their descent and avoid the lasers. As fans draw near to the bottom of their fall, they will see a large opening, and it provides direct access to the fourth lock.

Lock #5

The final lock is in B1, which players should enter by jumping from the southeast quadrant of 1F and then breaking through an icicle barrier. Beyond that barrier, fans should make a right and hit the large spinning gear with Recall to send it in the other direction.

After passing over that gear, and fighting a TotK Construct, players should use an arrow to knock down one of the large icicles that are hanging from the ceiling. Fans should now use Ultrahand to grab the icicle, and then position it so that it bridges the gap between the gears that are adjacent to the gate. This configuration can be seen in the image that is above, and it will cause the gate to open, giving fans access to the fifth lock.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom - Beat the Wind Temple Boss (Colgera)

After all five locks have been released, players should make their way back to 1F and interact with the green circle near the air current in the center. This action will initiate a fight with the Wind Temple's boss, Colgera, and here are tips on how players should approach this combat encounter in Tears of the Kingdom:

Phase 1

The first phase of the Colgera fight centers around staying underneath the boss and breaking the ice that is connected to its underbelly. To perform this breaking, fans must simply fire TotK arrows at the ice, and they should consider attaching Aerocuda Wings to their projectiles if they are struggling with distance. These items are definitely not necessary, though, as players that position themselves in front Colgera, and allow the boss to fly over them, will have plenty of good opportunities to deal damage.

The other thing to know about the fight is that Colgera will occasionally disappear into an orb and surge forth from another location. Players can deal with this attack by using Tulin's Gust to dodge the surge, and they should make sure to land some arrows as the TotK enemy passes by.

Phase 2

Once all three sections of ice have been broken, Colgera will enter its second phase. This phase is nearly identical to the first, though this time around players will need to watch out for tornados while they attempt to hit the boss with arrows. While this modification is not extremely difficult to deal with, it does make breaking Colgera's ice a bit more challenging.

When this second phase comes to a close, players will receive an additional Heart Container in Tears of the Kingdom and earn the ability to call upon Tulin as they continue their adventures. The receipt of these rewards marks the end of the Wind Temple, and fans will have completed the Tulin of Rito Village main quest after watching a brief cutscene.
