The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has a lot more to do than its predecessor Breath of the Wild. Built on the same world with the same Link and same Zelda, players will have to revisit locations they have already seen in BotW. One of the things that carried over from game to game are the inns and stables. Players can visit these locations and spend a small amount of Rupees in order to get some sleep, fill up on hearts, and pass some time. Players have a choice of the kind of bed they want when staying, and one is definitely better than the other.

The Different Beds in Tears of the Kingdom

Every time Link heads to an inn or a stable in Tears of the Kingdom, he will have two choices of beds just like in BotW. Unlike in BotW though, there are multiple kinds of premium beds they can purchase. In Breath, there were only regular beds and soft beds, but in Tears, there are:

RELATED:

  • Regular Beds at any inn or stable for 20 Rupees
  • Regluar Beds for free at Link and Zelda's house in Hateno, in the Korok forest in the Deku Tree, and in Link's Tarrey Town home
  • Malanya Beds at stables for 50 Rupees
  • Rito-Down Beds at the Rito Village for 50 Rupees
  • Spa Packages in Gerudo Town for 50 Rupees
  • Massages at Goron City's Inn for 50 Rupees
  • Blissful Water Beds in the Zora Domain for 50 Rupees
  • Water Bed in Tarrey Town for 30 Rupees

So if players want to spend a night at either Tarrey Town or in the Zora Domain's Inn, they can choose to sleep on a water bed of some variety.

What Does the Water Bed in TotK's Tarrey Town Do?

The inn in Tarrey Town, run by the Zora priest named Kapson that players met during BotW's building of Tarrey Town quests, has the option to sleep in a Water bed. The bed costs 30 Rupees, and it refills a players hearts and gives them one extra heart. It also passes the time until either morning (5AM), noon, or night (9PM). This differs from the Regular bed, which only fills up Link's hearts and passes time without any additional hearts given.

For 50 Rupees, players visiting the Zora Domain can get a Blissful Water Bed instead of a Regular Bed or a Water Bed. The 20-30 Rupee difference might make players wonder if the difference is worth it. If players sleep in the Blissful Water Bed, they will get three additional hearts on top of their heart total. They also get a whole additional temporary stamina wheel like Link has consumed stamina food that overfills his stamina wheel.

Not only that, but if players choose the Blissful Water Bed, they will get to hear Link joyfully jumping up and down on the waterbed before he goes to sleep. This adorable addition to the Totk premium beds gives Link a little bit of a respite from his quest to save Zelda and the world.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available now for Nintendo Switch.
