Bubbul Gems are dropped by defeated Bubbulfrogs and one can be found in each cave across Hyrule. To complete "The Hunt for Bubbul Gems", players can use a Bubbul Gem already in their inventory or visit the adjacent cave to get one from the Bubbulfrog inside.

Afterward, the Kilton will relocate to Tarrey Town while Koltin will take the balloon to several locations across Hyrule. If players stumble across Koltin and his balloon at night, he will gladly offer Link a number of monster-related goods in exchange for any Bubbul Gems he has collected. It should be noted, however, that the rewards must be claimed in order reflected on the chart below.

How to Get All Monster Masks in TotK

Bubbul Gem item in Tears of the Kingdom.

All monster masks in Tears of the Kingdom can be acquired by trading Bubbul Gems with Koltin. The masks allow Link to disguise himself around certain enemy types while also imitating their movements during his idle animation. In order to obtain all five, players will need to collect at least 38 Bubbul Gems over the course of their adventure.

Bokoblin Mask

zelda tears of the kingdom bokoblin mask

The first mask players can receive is the Bokoblin Mask. It is given to Link as a reward for completing "The Hunt for Bubbul Gems" by giving Koltin one Bubbul Gem. As the name implies, the Bokoblin Mask disguises Link from all types of Bokoblin including Boss Bokoblins. While wearing the mask, Bokoblins will curiously approach Link but will not attack unless provoked.

Moblin Mask

The second mask available to players is the Moblin Mask. At the cost of two Bubbul Gems, it is the first item offered by Koltin for trade when players visit him at one of his balloon's locations. While Link has the mask on, Moblins will follow Link around instead of attacking on sight. As with all the masks, the illusion is broken if a Moblin is attacked while the mask is worn.

Lizalfos Mask

After giving Koltin a total of 12 Bubbul Gems, the next item he will put up for trade is the Lizalfos Mask. For three more Bubbul Gems, Link will be able to blend in among any Lizalfos he may find across Hyrule unless he attacks first.

Horriblin Mask

The Horriblin Mask will become available for trade after Link has traded Koltin a total of 26 Bubbul Gems. An additional four Bubbul Gems will earn Link the mask and allow him to avoid being pestered by Horriblins while exploring Hyrule's many caves.

Lynel Mask

The final monster mask players can receive in the game is the Lynel Mask. After trading a total of 38 Bubbul Gems, Koltin will offer the mask in exchange for four more. Unlike the other masks, if a Lynel spots Link while wearing the mask, it will stand at attention and eye him carefully. While the Lynel Mask can allow Link to pass by unscathed for a time, the Lynel will eventually see through the disguise and attack the imposter.

Other Enemy Disguises in TotK

In addition to the homemade monster masks, there are other outfits that players can find that offer similar disguise from certain enemy types. While the monster masks on their own can provide the disguise buff, most of these other pieces must all be worn as a full set to get the bonus.

Yiga Armor

The Yiga Armor allows players to disguise themselves against members of the Yiga Clan. The pieces of the Yiga Armor are hidden in several hideouts across Hyrule. While wearing the full set, Link can speak to a Yiga member in disguise without being attacked. They will identify themselves as a fellow member and tell Link to move along. Players will also avoid random ambushes from Yiga members if they wear the armor during their adventures.

Evil Spirit Armor

The Evil Spirit Armor is based on the appearance of Phantom Ganon in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. To find all the pieces of this set, players must complete three separate sets of labyrinths. Equipping all three pieces will disguise Link from the skeletal Stal- monsters that frequently roam the night. This includes Stalkoblin, Stalmoblin, and Stalizalfos, but not Stalnox.

Radiant Armor

The Radiant Armor provides the exact same disguise as the Evil Spirit Armor, but only after each piece has been upgraded twice by a Great Fairy. When worn all together, it will allow players to disguise themselves against Stal- monsters wherever they are found. All pieces of the Radiant set can be purchased from the clothing store in Kakariko Village.

Majora's Mask

Majora's Mask is perhaps the most impressive of the disguises available in the game: its effect combines that of all five of the homemade monster masks and more. Wearing only this mask, players are able to disguise themselves from Bokoblins, Moblins, Lizalfos, Horriblins, Lynels, and even Stal- monsters. Similar to Lynel Mask, however, Lynels will still be able to sus Link out eventually. Players can find Majora's Mask in The Depths as a reward for overcoming the challenge of the Floating Coliseum.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available for the Nintendo Switch.
