Despite the fact that there are over 150 shrines in the game, players will never encounter the same puzzle twice. Some shrines will require players to have a solid understanding and mastery of their abilities to overcome the puzzles within.

Others present a unique challenge that happens outside the shrine, and completing that challenge is how players will get the Light of Blessing that awaits them. This is the case for the Usazum Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom. Here is where to find the Usazum Shrine along with how to complete it.

The Usazum Shrine is located at -2136, -0874, 0093. It is southwest of the Sonapan Shrine and is right at the edge of Dalite Forest. When players approach the shrine, they will notice that half of it is missing. Just like with other shrines, players must find the crystal and bring it back to access the interior space of the shrine. Fortunately, Tears of the Kingdom players will not have to go very far. Interact with the shrine to open it up as an option for fast travel and then follow the green light into a nearby cave at -2197, -0814, 0116.

As players enter the cave they will notice something strange. The green light is moving. Normally the crystal in this kind of puzzle is at a fixed location. This time, however, it is being used as jewelry for a large enemy called a Hinox. When the ground begins to shake, players will know that they are close.

How to Get the Crystal

In order to get the crystal, players must defeat the Hinox that is wearing it like a necklace. The best way to defeat a Hinox is by shooting it in the eye to stun it and then attack it. Bomb Flowers attached to arrows can be useful for this encounter as well.

Once the Hinox has been slain, pick up the crystal and carefully take it back toward the base of the Usazum Shrine. If lost, the green light will help direct players back toward the shrine. Upon reaching the shrine, a cutscene will play, and the shrine will open up. Since players had to beat a mini-boss to open this shrine, they will not need to worry about solving any puzzles inside.

Instead, all that awaits within the shrine is a chest containing a Strong Zonaite Spear and the altar. Once players interact with the altar they will receive a Light of Blessing that they can use to improve either their health or their stamina.
