The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom-themed Switch OLED image has been leaked, and it shook the entire Zelda community. After the impact that Breath of the Wild caused in the gaming world, the long-awaited sequel is now closer than ever. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is coming out May 12, 2023, and everyone is trying to contain their excitement.

It's surely going to be interesting to see how Nintendo pulls off a sequel to a game that was as groundbreaking as Breath of the Wild. It seems that the game's graphics and engine will be similar to that of its predecessor, but it is unknown how mechanic changes in the sequel will be handled; perhaps they'll be completely revamped or simply remain the same.

Zelda fans were already making their own customized Tears of the Kingdom-inspired Joy-Cons in order to prepare themselves for the new entry to the Zelda series, but it seems that they may not need them after all. Recently leaks show that a Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Switch OLED might be coming out to celebrate the release of this anticipated game.

Regardless of it being a captivating piece of hardware, nothing has been confirmed by Nintendo and this is only a rumor for now, so it should be taken with a pinch of salt. The Switch console is completely black, but it seems to have circular decals that may be related to runes in the lore. The dock is white with these same decals, but they're painted in gold. It also has script in the Sheikah language on its left side. The Joy-Cons are white and gold; the left Joy-Con has green decals and the right Joy-Con has white decals - both of them come with white and gold wrist straps that can be attached at any time.

Even though the game's release date is getting closer, still very little is known about Tears of the Kingdom. With recent leaks and information on Tears of the Kingdom, it seems that any minute now Nintendo might be pushed into revealing more details. Fans are skeptical about the authenticity of the product but if this Switch OLED turns out to be a fake, it will undoubtedly be debunked soon. Zelda theorists will surely have a field day analyzing everything about it, especially the beautifully-design symbols and characters on it.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is set to release on May 12, 2023, for Nintendo Switch.
