A handful of shrines in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom require players to traverse harsh environments to find them. Near the edge of the map, players can trek through the snow and ice of the North Tabantha Snowfield to locate the Oshozan-u Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom and claim the Light of Blessing waiting inside.
Oshozan-u Shrine Location in TotK
Oshozan-u Shrine can be found in the north of the Tabantha Tundra, east of the Hebra Mountains, at the coordinates -1405, 3677, 0288. It's possible to travel on foot or horseback, but for a quicker journey, players can use the Pikida Stonegrove Skyview Tower or Taninoud Shrine in the sky above to glide down to the shrine.
As players approach, they should see the distinctive green glow of the shrine pop against the snowy background. It will be up on a small hill with a struggling Korok nearby, with the shrine itself standing atop an ice-covered rock.
Though using nearby trees or other objects to climb up is an option, a Zonai Spring works just as well to ascend the slippery slope. Players can then activate the shrine and enter to begin its challenge.
Oshozan-u Shrine Walkthrough (Mallet Smash)
Upon entering the shrine, players will find a long log and rocket on the ground. On the wall, they will find a stone block on a track leading up to a target.
Ohsozan-u Shrine - First Puzzle
Players can assemble these pieces similarly to the method above and activate the rocket to send the whole contraption up to the target. When hit, the door will open.
Ohsozan-u Shrine Hidden Chest
In this next room, players can see a chest on a platform to their left and another target to their right. Players can use Ultrahand to move the longer of the two logs on the ground and prop it up in the platform's groove. Link is unable to climb the walls in a shrine, so the log allows him to reach the chest with no issues.
Oshozan-u Shrine - Second Puzzle
After grabbing the chest, players can remove the log from the platform and attach it to the wheel near the target. Players should attach a rocket yet again to rotate the wheel clockwise, as shown above. The longer of the two logs has plenty of length to hit the target on its own, but players can attach the other if they choose.
Completing this final challenge will open the door to the statue room, where players will receive a Light of Blessing for their efforts and mastery of the shrine's taught mechanics.
