Lurelin Village was initially a hustling and bustling beachside village in Hyrule, but in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, players will discover that it's been taken over by enemy pirates. The village will need to be restored by Link to bring it back to its former glory as part of the Lurelin Village Restoration Project questline.
The entire questline can be done by using our dedicated guide linked above; however, there's one small part of the quest that seems to be tripping up some players, and it's the 'Village Attacked by Pirates' objective. The head of Lurelin Village, Rozel, tells Link that a pirate ship has occupied the village, and it's up to the players to defeat every monster to clear the area.
Occupiers of Lurelin Village - Where's the Last Monster?
Upon reaching the village, a red energy bar will appear at the top of the screen underneath the objective name "Occupiers of Lurelin Village - Monster Forces." The task is simple: go around and beat the monsters on the pirate ship and the other ones on the shore nearby. The thing is, players are having issues finding one last monster that doesn't appear to be anywhere on land.
It turns out there's one monster hiding from the rest, and it's inside the Lurelin Village Well, just a few steps north of the ship's location. Players must approach the well and hop inside, carefully using the paraglider to descend to prevent Link from taking unnecessary fall damage.
There's a monster inside, and they should be able to be defeated easily since they don't have other monsters to back them up.
Players can also find equipment, a campfire, and food inside the well. To get back out of the cave, players will have to use Link's new ascend skill, since there's no true exit/entrance.
After the last monster is defeated, players can continue with the Tears of the Kingdom quest. Once Lurelin Village returns to normal, the citizens will reward Link with free monster parts, inn stays, and tasty meals.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available for the Nintendo Switch.
