A dedicated The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom fan created a version of Hyrule that can fit in his hands. This hand-sculpted and painted replica of the famous landscape is 1:100,000 the size of the actual in-game Hyrule map.

The size of the map in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is one of the biggest in any video game. The only way to truly appreciate the size of this map is to walk from one end to the other, a feat that could take over a half hour of real-life time. For one creative fan, the idea of shrinking this iconic map down to an almost pocket-sized form was too good to pass up.

Reddit user and YouTuber Neck_of_the_Woods posted an image showcasing an extremely small version of the massive map. While most players are building incredible flying machines in Tears of the Kingdom to traverse Hyrule, Neck_of_the_Woods has created a version of the legendary land only ants would have trouble getting around in. The tiny replica sports all the famous Hyrulean landmarks, from the Lost Woods to Death Mountain.

Neck_of_the_Woods also posted a video on YouTube detailing the painstaking process of bringing Hyrule to life in such a tiny size. Like most of the incredible Tears of the Kingdom fan creations, this tiny Hyrule model was crafted with passion and thankless dedication. In the video, the YouTuber explains how he sketched the map on paper first, then molded the topography in clay, and then finally painted on the colors using a bright but washed-out color palette, just like in the game. The replica itself if 100,000 smaller in scale and measures at 4.7 by 4 inches.

The map itself is actually crafted from the map in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, as the Hyrule surface map in that game only has a few changes from Tears of the Kingdom’s map to worry about with the replica. All of the major details that are needed are here, including Eventide Island in the bottom right corner of the map. It's even possible to see the Gerudo town, represented as a little blue dot in the middle of the desert.

Naturally, the first thought that comes to mind after seeing this tiny replica of Hyrule, is when will Neck_of_the_Woods create a tiny version of the sky islands and of the depths found in Tears of the Kingdom. These two extra maps may be asking for too much, but it would certainly be interesting to see.
