Equipping the Stealth Set in Tears of the Kingdom will make it much easier to sneak by enemies or catch timid creatures such as frogs and lizards. Unfortunately, most armor sets have been moved from their original location in Breath of the Wild or require additional steps to get the entire armor set in Tears of the Kingdom. This applies to each piece of Stealth Armor.

Tears of the Kingdom's tutorial mode is longer than Breath of the Wild. Once Link returns to Hyrule, he should go where the main quest leads him. Eventually, he'll be directed to Kakariko Village. It's up to the player whether they should go to Kakariko or not, but if they want the Stealth Armor, they should make it their first priority.

Where to Find Stealth Armor

The entire Stealth Armor set can be bought at Eastwind (coodrinates: 1855, -0980, 0119) in Kakariko Village. Upon entering, Link will quickly notice that the once-moderately cheap Stealth Set has been brought up to a jaw-dropping 5000 Rupees. Every piece of armor in Eastwind will be priced at 5000 Rupees. While it's more than possible to carry beyond 5000 rupees, the price is not justifiable for any piece of armor in Tears of the Kingdom.

Luckily, there's a way to lower the prices. Speak to Claree, the shopkeeper, and she'll explain why they've raised everything in the store. It turns out her grandmother, Nanna, has fallen sick after coming in contact with gloom. Players will then want to find Nanna and Claree's sister, Lasli. This will start a side quest called Gloom-Borne Illness.

Be sure to unlock the Travel Point at the Makasura Shrine (1770, -1050, 0166) in Kakariko Village before leaving.

Nanna's house is located in Kakariko Village at the coordinates: 1900, -1026, 0127. Directly in front of the house is Lasli, who's sitting by a cooking pot. Speak to her, and she'll drop a hint on how players can complete the side quest. It will also formally unlock Gloom-Borne Illness and add it to the Adventure Log.

The next step is to make a porridge that will heal the damage from gloom. This is sunny veggie porridge. While Link should have at least two of the ingredients at this point, he'll need to do some traveling to get the rest.

Sunny Veggie Porridge Recipe

To make sunny veggie porridge, players will need:

  • Hylian Rice
  • Hyrule Herb
  • Fresh Milk
  • Sundelion

Fresh Milk and Hylian Rice can be bought from East Wind general store in Hateno Village (coordinates: 3353, -2160, 0119). Both ingredients cost 12 Rupees a piece. While players really only need one of each, it won't hurt for Link to buy more Fresh Milk and cook up some sunny veggie porridge for himself. This is a perfect meal to have when exploring The Depths.

Hylian Rice can also be farmed by cutting down grass in East Necluda. The best place to start is near the Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower (coordinates: 2419, -2762, 0222).

Hyrule Herbs can be found just about anywhere in Hyrule. In fact, there may be some on the roads leading to and out of Kakariko Village. Look near horse stables in grassy areas. Hyrule Herbs won't grow in areas like Hebra, Gerudo, or Eldin regions.

Finally, Sundelions are flowers that are only obtainable from the Sky Islands. Players should've found them during the tutorial mode on the Great Sky Island. They're quite common, so Link won't have to look far. If players are still struggling, then they should check these locations in the sky:

  • 2113, -2600, 1264 (West Necluda Sky Archipelago)
  • -0668, -1312, 0861 (South Hyrule Sky Archipelago)

After getting the ingredients, find a cooking pot (use the one near Lasli in Kakariko Village), and toss them in. This will create a sunny veggie porridge that will restore 5 hearts and recover 3 hearts from gloom. This one will have to go to Nanna in Kakariko Village, so if players want their own, they'll want to make sure they have enough ingredients for a second serving.

For those that don't know, getting hit by an enemy covered in gloom will cause Link to permanently lose a heart. This, of course, can be recovered by "activating" the giant roots in The Deep, but Sunny Veggie Porridge can also recover those hearts if Link needs them back immediately.

Sundelions are extremely crucial in Tears of the Kingdom thanks to the gloom-recovering abilities they add to a meal when cooked. Players should always make sure to farm them whenever they see them. With this taken care of, warp back to the Makasura Shrine.

Speak to Lasli and hand over the sunny veggie porridge. After this, Lasli will plan on leaving for Hateno Village to study fashion, and the prices of the Sheikah Set (and Radiant Set) at Eastwind will finally go down to something more manageable. Link will also receive an Energizing Veggie Porridge (restores 6 hearts and 3/4 of a stamina wheel). Players who want to cook this type of porridge again can view its recipe under the Meals Tab in the Inventory.

Stealth Set Cost & Defense

Every piece of the Stealth Set has a base defense of 2. They can be strengthened by a Great Fairy, but they're not very sturdy even at level 4. The Stealth Armor is best used for what it's named after: Stealth. It also has a Set Bonus that will increase Link's night speed when worn.

The finalized prices are:

  • Stealth Mask: 500
  • Stealth Tights: 600
  • Stealth Chest Guard: 700

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is available for Nintendo Switch.
