The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom players have discovered a new glitch just days after launch that allows Link to kill his enemies with just one attack. Tears of the Kingdom is the latest entry in the Zelda franchise, which has quickly become one of the most acclaimed games of 2023.
Tears of the Kingdom is the sequel to Breath of the Wild and tells a story where Hyrule experiences the threat of Gloom, a mysterious new phenomenon spreading throughout the kingdom. As Zelda and Link progress on their journey, the two make discoveries about Hyrule's past that point to conflict with an ancient evil. A series of events cause Link and Zelda to face a new enemy, leading Link on a mission to save Hyrule once again. Gameplay-wise, Tears of the Kingdom has similarities to Breath of the Wild, with additions such as four runes that give Link new abilities.
Some Tears of the Kingdom players have discovered a new glitch that allows Link to one-shot his enemies. The glitch allows Zelda players to fuse as many Tears of the Kingdom weapons as they want, accumulating any effects they may have. The glitch has already been noted by several players, like the Youtube channel Gameniac, and consists of having five or six bows, and multiple weapons to fuse. The player must drop the bows and select the equipped weapon to drop it. Then the player must equip the weapon they want to fuse with the first equipped weapon, pause and unpause as quickly as possible. If the first dropped weapon does not return to the inventory, the player has successfully replicated the glitch.
The glitch that gives Link powers to one-shot his enemies is not the first exploit found by Tears of the Kingdom players. The community has already discovered a simple glitch that allows Link to duplicate any item, and another glitch became famous for allowing players to farm rupees in Tears of the Kingdom without much effort. A third glitch discovered by players of the new Zelda allows Link to have an unbreakable Master Sword, bypassing the divisive weapon degradation system introduced in Breath of the Wild.
Tears of the Kingdom has become a massive success that is exceeding players' expectations. The game features an epic story with a conflict much bigger than Zelda and Link and a vast open world to explore. Tears of the Kingdom also gives players great creative freedom to express themselves, creating their own experience that has resulted in many fun moments.
