It's only been a few days since the release of the HD remaster of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword and plenty of new players are discovering much of what the game has to offer. Even old fans of the game are remembering what The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword does right. Although, some new players are discovering a lot of facets and details that weren't initially discovered when the game first came out.

While Skyward Sword does possess numerous hidden items and locations, the game is known for being one of the most linear installments in The Legend of Zelda series. There's nothing necessarily wrong with this, but those who have recently played Breath of the Wild, for instance, may find the experience rather jarring overall. However, this doesn't mean that Skyward Sword is bereft of hidden gameplay details. In fact, one player, in particular, came to an interesting realization about bombs.

A Reddit user by the name of _benjaninja_ found out that if the player picks up a bomb and then a brief cutscene plays, the timer on the bomb will continue during the cutscene. This led to the player getting blown up after the cutscene played and then proceeded to have Link fall into a pit of lava. A rather unfortunate, if not hilarious, occurrence overall.

Bomb fruits have made various appearances throughout the Zelda series, particularly in 3D Zelda games like The Wind Waker and Ocarina of Time. Although, most would assume that once a cutscene plays that reveals a new area of the dungeon, active gameplay would be paused while the cutscene plays. Apparently, that is not the case with Skyward Sword HD.

For many fans, it's exciting to see how much attention the Nintendo Switch port of Skyward Sword has received since its launch a few days ago. Compared to other 3D Zelda games, Skyward Sword hasn't always been looked on favorably, given its aforementioned linearity and the often irritating motion controls that served as integral mechanics during the game's first initial run.

Though, the Skyward Sword remaster has also added numerous quality of life mechanics in order to make the game more streamlined and accessible than its original version. There's a lot of things that are different in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword remaster that players will likely encounter at some point during their playthrough. Not to mention that, if this Reddit clip is any indication, there will definitely be hidden gameplay moments and features that players will discover by just playing the game normally.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD is currently available on Nintendo Switch.
