Pay attention Nintendo, this is exactly the kind of marketing necessary to win over gamers. Zelda: The Lost Oracle is a fan-made video for a fictional sequel on the Wii U in The Legend of Zelda series. Watch this incredible trailer for what appears to be a sequel to Wind Waker.

It is almost baffling to think that The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker came out ten whole years ago for the GameCube. Since then we haven’t really been given another opportunity with the simplistic stylings of Wind Waker animation, but that didn’t stop one fan’s dreams for a sequel.

Joel Furtado is an animator residing in Vancouver, Cananda who currently works for Microsoft. Furtado has been a part of the film and video game industries for about seven years now. His portfolio is quite impressive and perhaps this Zelda video will get him picked up by Nintendo for future projects?

I’m a huge fan of the Zelda series, and decided to create a trailer for a new game in the series,” says Furtado. The fan-made trailer is beautiful – and features the traditional vibrant colors from the Zelda franchise. The trailer also sets a great pace with epic Zelda music and fun lively action that flows well with the editing.

Post-Skyward Sword, it would appear that Nintendo may be focusing on a new Zelda game for the 3DS — and perhaps even two versions of a Zelda game on the 3DS, if the rumors are true.

Ranters, if you could see an official sequel that logically continues the story from any of the previous games from The Legend of Zelda franchise, which would you like to see?
