With the recent release of The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening for Switch comes a whole new set of obstacles. Yes, the remake is a beautiful recreation of the classic game, but not everything is exactly the same as the original Link's Awakening. This includes some of the Ocarina songs that are more difficult to find than others.
Getting the Ocarina
If players don't have the ocarina already, the first thing they will have to do is complete the Bottle Grotto dungeon. Towards the end of this dungeon, players will receive the Power Bracelet, which is integral to completing the game. From there, fans will have to complete the third dungeon, the Key Cavern. Players will only be able to access the Key Cavern once they've helped Richard find his five Golden Leaves. Once fans have completed the Key Cavern, Link will acquire the Pegasus Boots.
Once this is completed, Link will need to head towards Mabe Village where gamers will find a stone building blocked by three boulders, also known as the Dream Shrine. Once there, Link can easily pick up one of the boulders, toss it to the side and gain access to the Dream Shrine. Take Link up the stairs and have him fall asleep in the bed provided. After a few seconds, Link will truly enter into the Dream Shrine.
A drove of Arm-Mimics will be waiting down each corridor, so players will need to hold down the L-button and charge through them to defeat them. As Link progresses through the enemies, he will spiral in towards the heart of the dungeon. There will be two rewards in the middle, a chest with 100 rupees, and then the Ocarina to the left. To get to the Ocarina, charge through the obstruction at the bottom of the first set of stairs to gain access to the Ocarina on the left-hand side.
The First Song - The Ballad of the Wind Fish
From here Link can travel down south from the Dream Shrine and meet up with Marin standing next to her Flying Rooster whirligig. Talk to Marin and she'll sing you a lovely little tune as you mimic it on your Ocarina. This song is essential for completing the game and cracking open the giant egg.
The Second Song - Manbo's Mambo
The next song, and incredibly useful one as well, can be found up near the Tal Tal Heights. This song can be found after completing the fourth dungeon, Angler's Tunnel. Through this dungeon, Link will acquire the Flippers allowing him to dive underwater.
Go back to the main entrance of Angler's Tunnel and start swimming in the moat to the left of the front door. Here, Link will swim down to find Manbo, child of the Sun Fish. Talk to Manbo in order to learn Manbo's Mambo which will help players fast-travel between different warp points on the map. "Bloop!" as Manbo says, Link has just learned one of the most useful songs of the game.
The Third Song - Frog's Song of Soul
This next song is one of the more tedious tasks. First players will need to have completed the fifth dungeon, or Catfish Maw, which is located near Martha's Bay. Upon completing the Catfish Maw dungeon, Link will acquire the handy dandy Hookshot. From here, Link will need to travel to Mabe Village and find the Ukuku Prairie.
Towards the bottom of the Ukuku Prairie to the southeast, Link will discover the Signpost Maze. Make sure that Link has a minimum of 300 rupees on him before approaching this tedious maze. Follow the signs of the maze exactly as though there were straight lines between each signpost. If there is a boulder in the way, pick it up and toss it to the side in order to read the next sign. If there is a ditch in the way, use the Hookshot to travel over it in order to read the next signpost.
Once the maze has been completed, the water will drain from a nearby pond revealing descending stairs. From here, Link will talk to Mamu, the apparent Frog King who jams out on vocals. For a measly 300 rupees, Mamu will let you sit and watch his jam session. Link will then bear witness to a "lively" tune as the game likes to call it. This is the Frog's Song of Soul and has the power to resurrect the dead or awaken the sleeping.
