An eager Zelda fan has created an impressive pair of Joy-Cons based upon the upcoming Breath of the Wild sequel, Tears of the Kingdom. The Joy-Cons are drawing a lot of attention from fellow fans who can't wait to get their hands on the next mainline entry of the franchise.

Fans have been waiting to see more of Tears of the Kingdom for some time now, with the title initially being announced back in 2019, albeit prior to having an official name. As 2023 begins its rapid approach, fans are brimming with anticipation, with the game set to finally release in May.

Zelda fan LestatsMods shared one of their latest creations with fellow Zelda fans over on Reddit's gaming section, with impressive results. The pair of white Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons have been customized with gold buttons, the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom logo, and the entwined circle that's appeared behind the title on the opposite Joy-Con. The completed design is a bit simplistic in design, but that gives it a mature and sophisticated feel that would fit in anyone's Zelda or Joy-Con collection.

Fans in the comments have been quick to shower LestatsMods with praise over their creation, though a few took the opportunity to fret about the Nintendo Switch's notorious Joy-Con drift. For fans who are interested enough in the design to want to pick it up for themselves, LestatsMods does sell their creations. The Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom design is available on their website for £130.00, roughly $155 USD at the time of writing. While the price might be too steep for some gamers, with base Joy-Cons often selling for around $70, some players may find the cost of completely unique Joy-Cons worth it.

Of course, there may also be some players who are interested in the design but not committed to buying a Joy-Con based on a game they haven't even played yet. LestatsMods actually produces a number of custom Joy-Con and Switch Pro Controller designs, Switch docks, and even Switch Lites, based off of several different game logos and iconography. Chances are most Nintendo fans could find something to like in their available collection.

With just months to go until the release of Tears of the Kingdom, fans are likely growing a bit anxious. So far, very little has been revealed of the game's plot, or even its visuals. Chances are Nintendo will hold a special reveal closer to the game's release to give players every scrap of information they've been craving, but that won't keep players from designing unique creations like these even before they play it.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is set to release on May 12, 2023 for Nintendo Switch.
