Ever since it burst onto Switch and Wii U consoles around the world in 2017, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has captured the minds and imaginations of almost everyone who's has played it. The sprawling land of Hyrule is full of secrets and Easter eggs that even now, players are discovering new things in the game or creating their own content through unique mods. One such detail has recently been unearthed by an observant fan, showcasing the scale of the game's map and the interconnected nature of the various areas.

The secret in question lies in Hateno Village, a peaceful little hamlet in the East Necluda region of Hyrule. The main story of the game will bring you here when you're searching for the Sheikah researcher Purah, but a lengthy and expensive side quest in the area will also set Link up with a pretty nice house in town as well. It's a pretty sweet set-up inside, but Reddit user ajsayshello also discovered a neat little Easter egg visible from the roof.

Climb to the top of Link's brand new bachelor pad and up onto the chimney, and it turns out that it's the perfect vantage point to see each of the four Divine Beasts primed and ready to rain hell on Calamity Ganon, provided you've completed their respective main story quests of course. Off to the southwest in the deserts of the Gerudo region, Divine Beast Vah Naboris can be seen poking out from behind a rocky outcrop, while Vah Medoh is visible perched on top of Rito Village. Vah Rudania and Vah Ruto can both be seen at once, with the view from Hateno Village perfectly lining up Zora's Domain and the distant crevices of Death Mountain.

It's a delightful little detail, and perfectly shows off The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild's sprawling and interconnected world. Part of the wonder that many players feel upon embarking on their journey across Hyrule is rooted in that feeling of "if you can see it, you can go there" familiar to fans of games like Dark Souls, and being able to gaze across almost the entire map from an arbitrary point instils quite the sense of adventure.

It's perhaps no surprise that players are still spending so much time in the game, finding extra little secrets like this one. The game has plenty of its own merits to keep players engaged and excited, but many fans are likely seeking to fill the void until more news of a Breath of the Wild sequel begins to trickle out again. At the time of writing, Breath of the Wild 2 still has no confirmed release date but fans are doubtless salivating at the thought of getting more time in Hyrule. In the mean time, though, they'll just have to kick back and enjoy the view.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is available now for Switch and Wii U.
