A Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild player has recently discovered that it is possible to disarm Lynels, as a video uploaded to Twitter shows. Breath of the Wild includes many dangerous enemies, but Lynels are certainly some of the most fearsome creatures that Link has to face during his travels. Normally, the Lynels' flaming weapons pose a challenge to players, but the clip posted to Twitter shows that there is another way for players to go about defeating the monsters.

The Breath of the Wild glitch is one of many that allows players to manipulate the title. With a way to weaken Lynels before fighting them, gamers will now be able to approach their enemies without fear of defeat.

Twitter user zelda_watchan recently posted a video that shows Link disarming a lynel. The glitch works by first luring a Lynel to Gerudo Town and then activating the cutscene where Link is thrown out of the village. When Link respawns, the Lynel will be weaponless. This works with many Lynel variants in Breath of the Wild, and even with a few other enemies. Indeed, the glitch was also tested with Moblins, Bokoblins, and more of Zelda's unique enemies.

In order to disarm the Lynels, however, they must be within sight. If players can't see them, the Gerudo Town glitch won't work. Fortunately, the Breath of the Wild formula lets players lure enemies around certain areas, much like other open-world games. Once players have brought Lynels within sight of Gerudo Town, they will be able to successfully disarm them. Though the bug in Legend of Zelda might seem odd, it truly can be used to help fans defeat some harder foes in-game. This will be especially useful for players looking to quickly make their way through the lands of Hyrule.

The combat in The Legend of Zelda can be challenging in the best ways, and some players might need a way face various enemies. The new and unique bug from Twitter user zelda_watchan, though not originally intended to be part of the title, could be a valuable tool for Zelda players. And, as fans wait for Tears of the Kingdom, it is good to know that there are a few new ways to enjoy Breath of the Wild. Hopefully, as fans continue to go on adventures with Link in Hyrule, they'll be able to notice even more interesting quirks in the awesome Nintendo Switch title.
