In 2017, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was released worldwide on the Wii U and the Nintendo Switch. At the time of its release, the game received near-universal critical praise and currently holds a 97 Metacritic score. Despite having been released over five years ago, however, fans are still noticing new things about The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was the first fully open-world game in the franchise. Fans were treated to an enormous environment where everything was seemingly possible in this new world. They found new, goofy ways to spend their time and many quests in Breath of the Wild can easily be missed. Even to this day, fans are discovering new details hidden within the game's world.

In one instance a fan noticed that the Yiga Clan clan traveler disguises in Breath of the Wild are essentially clones of other NPCs. Others have noticed bizarre missing textures that make entire parts of mountains seem invisible. In a more recent post, a Reddit user by the name of redpanda8008 shared something interesting they encountered on the Breath of the Wild page. Specifically, it involves a Moblin using a rather unexpected projectile weapon against Link.

In the video, the player glides into a camp full of Calamity Ganon's minions and attacks them using his bow, and injures several enemies. The player character then lands where he is forced to fight the monsters head-on when he gets an unexpected surprise. Specifically, one of the larger Moblins begins throwing one of the smaller Bokoblins at Link multiple times in the middle of the brawl. User redpanda8008 remarks that they had no idea they were capable of this.

In The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Bokoblins are one of the most common enemies throughout the game, and fans often spot odd ways that they can die. One player, for example, realized that one of the death animations of the undead Bokoblins in Breath of the Wild resembled a Stranger Things death. They were first introduced in The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker and have since become reoccurring enemies throughout the franchise, making appearances in Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was a far bigger success than even Nintendo predicted. As of March 2022, the game has sold over 26 million copies worldwide on the Switch alone. A full sequel titled The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 was announced 2019 though Nintendo seems to be keeping the game close to its chest. Hopefully, the sequel will feature more Moblins throwing more Bokoblins at Link.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is currently exclusive to Nintendo Switch and Wii U.
