The wait for Zack Snyder’s Justice League is finally over. The DC film will be available to stream on HBO Max on March 18, 2021.

Snyder, on his official Twitter account, confirmed the news along with a glimpse of three new monochrome posters for his four-hour cut of Justice League, which did not make it to theatres in 2017The posters captioned "fallen," "risen," and "reborn" garnered a lot of attention from Snyder's followers within just two hours of posting them. Fans of the superhero series have already launched into conversations about potential theories revolving around the content of the posters and their symbolism.

The news was also shared by HBO Max on Twitter, leaving fans feeling excited about the release. Hundreds of comments flowed in in the first hour of the post being uploaded, with most followers sharing memes to express their joy at the news. While HBO Max is currently not available globally, details on any international release dates or plans have not been announced yet. Additionally, there were talks earlier about the Snyder Cut, what the movie has come to be known as, being released as a four-part series due to its extended runtime. However, HBO Max has confirmed that it will be a full-length feature film and will instead debut with a four-hour runtime.

Justice League originally released in 2017, after Snyder left the project. In a recent interview with author Sean O'Connell for the upcoming book, Release the Snyder Cut, Snyder spoke of his reasons for leaving at the time and how he had “no energy to fight the studio”. The movie itself did not perform well either, with its opening weekend receiving the lowest opening of any DC Extended Universe release.

This led to a petition of sorts by fans to see Snyder’s original version of the movie, the one he left unfinished. A little over three years later, Snyder Cut is the most anticipated new superhero movie. Over the past few months, Snyder has promised that his version of Justice League will be quite different from the original. Fans will get to see some characters that were cut off from the 2017 version and a lot of deleted scenes have been added back to their original place, too.

The movie will see all the main actors returning to their respective DC superhero roles, with Ben Affleck donning the Batman suit again, Henry Cavill dusting off the Superman costume, and Gal Gadot returning as Wonder Woman. Zack Snyder's Justice League also brings back Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, and Ray Fisher as Cyborg.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League will be available to stream on HBO Max starting March 18, 2021.
