Popular trading card and battle card game, Yu-Gi-Oh!, is getting a new video game for the Nintendo Switch this upcoming holiday season. Yu-Gi-Oh! Rush Duel: Dawn of the Battle Royale will be released on the Nintendo switch on December 7th.

The upcoming video game showed off a good amount of the elements that gamers will experience when playing through it. The gameplay looks very similar to other Yu-Gi-Oh video games on the market, working similarly to turn-based RPGs in the sense that one side goes then the other follows.

The game will feature local play, computer combat, and of course online play. There is also has a very well-designed high textured art style for fans of the series to enjoy.

The game will offer players a variety of gameplay elements to get accustomed to. Duelists will be able to play through an original story with an entirely new cast of characters in a single-player campaign experience, while also enjoying local multiplayer that supports up to two players. Players will also be given the chance to participate in two-player duels in the game's multiplayer game mode. The game will also give duelists the option to build their own custom decks, allowing them to earn and choose from a myriad of cards available in the TCG.

Often times when a card game gets a virtual import or a digital version it doesn't end up translating as well as the feeling people get from playing the real physical thing. However, the one benefit that fans often see is the ease of access, lack of cleanup, lack of damaging/losing materials, and of course the ability to be able to play with anybody around the world.

Yu-Gi-Oh was a very popular anime and card series. During its prime, the card game was a huge selling factor for the IP. It of course received movies, spin-offs, video games, and toys among other things. The anime remains a favorite for many fans of the card game and other related media. Yu-Gi-Oh doesn't command the same mainstream spotlight it once did, but there are still live in-person tournaments alongside a variety of different fan projects.
