Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel has added two new Selection Packs to the game, both bringing new cards to the game as well as making older cards more readily available. Since the online platform for Konami's massively popular TCG released last January, the developer has added plenty of new cards to the game. Each month typically brings a new Selection Pack with a plethora of new cards and strategies for players to acquire like the powerful "Branded" archetype. Now, Konami's newest update to the TCG simulator brings both powerful new strategies and revisits cards from the game's story.

With the game's one-year anniversary coming up next week, Konami has added plenty of new features to Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel throughout its first year. Permanent game modes like Casual Queue and Team Battle have given players new ways to experience the card game, both in a more casual and a more team-focused setting. Konami has also featured a variety of events with different deck-building restrictions or limitations, even recently pushing the competitive aspect of Master Duel. Now, players will have even more new archetypes to dive into with the game's newest Selection Packs.

Konami officially released its newest Selection Packs earlier this week with the addition of "Heroic Warriors" and "Recollection of the Story" to the game, each focusing on different themes. Heroic Warriors features two new archetypes being added to the game with the introduction of the "Libromancer" cards focused around Ritual Summoning and the powerful "Therion" monsters. The pack also introduces new support for archetypes like "Heroic" and "Vendread," with powerful new cards for players to upgrade their Master Duel decks.

The "Recollection of the Story" pack features a new way for players to acquire several of the cards featured throughout the game's various Solo Mode challenges. Cards represented in Master Duel's story modes like "Shiranui Sunsaga" and "Erebus the Underworld Monarch" will be available for players to pick up for a limited time. The pack also mixes in many powerful archetypes found in Master Duel's story like "Danger" and "Crusadia." Players should note the pack does have a shorter duration, with "Recollection of the Story" only available for five weeks.

While Master Duel has added plenty of new cards to the game since its launch, players have noted many popular and powerful cards that are still missing. "Noh-P.U.N.K. Deer Note" is among the most requested by fans, originally releasing in the same set as the Therion and Libromancer cards. "Illusion of Chaos" is a powerful Ritual Monster from the iconic Dark Magician theme that is still missing, despite most of its TCG set releasing previously. With Master Duel's one-year anniversary approaching, Konami continues to bring new content into the digital card game.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and mobile devices.
