Young Souls from developer 1P2P and published by The Aracade Crew has now released a trailer detailing a release date for the Playstation, Switch, and Xbox versions of the game.
Young Souls is an indie, co-op, game with brawler-style gameplay and RPG elements. The game has a 2D art style and side-scrolling gameplay similar to Streets of Rage 4. It follows a pair of orphan twins, Jenn and Tristan, who have embarked on a journey through a portal between worlds to find their foster father who is a loving yet mysterious scientist all while fighting goblins and other enemies. The game has been out on Stadia as a preview for anyone who wants to check it out.
The trailer details the story and gameplay of this co-op adventure, the weapons available to the player, the world of the game such as shops and items that can be bought, as well as accessibility and boss battles. It also reveals the release date of March 10th when the game will be available on console platforms like Playstation, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox as well as Steam.
Young Souls is yet another game bearing the word "souls" in the title, but it is far from anything related to Dark Souls or any of those Souls-like games from developer From Software. Since the game has only been out as a preview on Stadia since August 17th, 2021 it had a limited window of people who could play it. Stadia has been a bit of a controversial topic in recent months due to all the issues and the closing of its gaming division in 2021. That being said, games like this had been added to the Stadia launch, and they have benefited from the exposure.
