GOG (formally known as Good Old Games) is offering a free game for a limited time. 2003's XIII is available right now on the digital distribution platform, but interested parties will want to take advantage quickly.

A remake of XIII released last year, but the game is sitting at around 30% - 39% on Metacritic (depending on the platform), so it was not received very well, unfortunately. The original from 2003, however, is seen as somewhat of a cult-classic. And for the low price of free, it can be claimed on GOG.

Right now there is a massive Spring Sale that is live on GOG. That sale includes everything from Cyberpunk 2077 to Mad Max to Disco Elysium. Over 3,000 games are on sale for up to 92% off.  On top of the great deals, GOG is also offering 2003's XIII for free for 48 hours. The clock already started earlier this morning, so if anyone wants to claim the cel-shaded shooter, they will want to jump on the opportunity sooner rather than later. As of the time of writing this, there are about 44 hours left.

The poorly received XIII remake prompted sales of the original XIII to skyrocket last year, as many fans of the original were happy to be reminded of why they enjoyed the game back in 2003. Whether someone has yet to play the game in the first place or would be to take a trip down cel-shaded memory lane, the opportunity to claim the game on GOG for free is one that should not be passed up.
