So far, 2021 has been a pretty solid year for horror games with titles like Resident Evil Village, Little Nightmares 2, and the upcoming Alan Wake: Remastered leading the charge. Luckily, fans of the genre looking for more are able to buy the Ultimate Horror Bundle that's available now on Xbox consoles.

Featuring three games, The Medium, Observer: System Redux, and DARQ: Complete Edition, the Ultimate Horror Bundle is a great deal for anyone looking to celebrate the fall season before the spooky month of October officially starts in just a few weeks. The Medium and Observer: System Redux were both developed and published by Bloober Team while DARQ: Complete Edition was developed by Unfold Games and published by Feademic, but all three games share similar thematic elements, perfect for back-to-back playthroughs.

Despite being set in completely different worlds, the games included in the Ultimate Horror Bundle share a lot in common as they all explore the human mind, according to Xbox. What's more, all three games have come out of Poland and offer unique European perspectives that aren't always found in mainstream gaming. The Medium in particular bases many of its plot beats around Polish history making for an interesting, historical experience that isn't commonly seen.

All three titles are optimized for Xbox Series X and S, but only DARQ: Complete Edition and Observer: System Redux are available on Xbox One. While the bundle can be purchased on both generations of Xbox hardware, Xbox One owners won't be able to actually play the entire bundle as The Medium isn't available on older hardware. Observer: System Redux recently received an Xbox One release, however, there hasn't been any update on if The Medium will be getting one as well.

The Medium recently received a port to the PlayStation 5, so it's possible that more work is being done on the game to make it available on more platforms, however, there isn't much indicating that an Xbox One version is coming.

At the end of the day, any of the three titles are worth picking up for fans of horror, especially horror from a European lens. The bundle is a great deal for anyone looking to start the spooky season off on the right foot before other horror titles like Back 4 Blood or Alan Wake: Remastered release later in October.
