Twitch integration is returning to Xbox, allowing players to livestream their games directly to Twitch via their Xbox consoles. Livestreaming on Twitch has been made easier than ever in today’s gaming landscape, with creators like Pokimane and Ninja providing countless entertainment for millions of viewers, and millions of those same viewers building their own communities on the site.

Twitch, a subsidiary of Amazon, has gained much more prominence over the years in the gaming industry, and the three of the biggest names in gaming have taken notice. Both Sony and Microsoft feature apps for players to access the website from their respective consoles, with Nintendo also launching a Twitch app for the Switch earlier last year, allowing players to watch their favorite streamers directly from their consoles.

Something many players have been curious about is being able to livestream directly from their console to the website. Previously, Xbox launched a beta version the feature on the Xbox One dashboard in 2014, and now, Microsoft has confirmed that livestreaming on Twitch via Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S is now live for players to use.

In a post on the official Xbox website, Microsoft detailed the process of setting up a user’s Xbox console, whether it be the Xbox One or the Xbox Series X/S, in order for the console to directly stream gameplay to the user’s Twitch channel. The process do to so is very simple, with players having to link their account via a QR code that they will have to scan from either their smartphones or PC. Once it's connected, it's as simple as hitting a "go live now" button to start streaming from the player's console.

This is an incredibly useful tool that Microsoft has launched, making livestreaming even easier and more accessible than ever, with Microsoft also stating in the post that there will be future updates to this feature as well. This also gives players the idea that Sony could possibly take this feature into account as well, and allow livestreaming from the PlayStation 5 to be a possibility.

Overall, there are various benefits to Microsoft’s implementation of Twitch streaming directly into the console. While Twitch may not be free of controversy, due to the various hate raids being conducted on the platform, the website has still allowed opportunities for streamers to flourish and grow their online communities, and to expand their respective platforms going forward.
