Redfall has dropped out of the top 50 most-played games on Xbox within a month of its launch. Redfall came out on PC and Xbox Series X on May 2, 2023, and being a Microsoft first-party game, it was a day-one addition to the Xbox Game Pass library.
Redfall received poor to mixed reviews upon its launch, and its current score on Metacritic is sitting at 56 for the Xbox Series X. This makes Redfall one of the worst-reviewed games of 2023, especially in the AAA space, with The Lord of the Rings: Gollum also being a part of this list. Now, it looks like fans have stopped playing Redfall on Xbox, as it drops out of the top 50 most-played titles despite coming out earlier this month.

The most-played section details the most-played games on Xbox consoles, and Redfall is absent from this list despite being under a month old. Major first-party titles can sometimes receive extra hype from the fanbase, but it looks like Xbox players have stopped playing Redfall, resulting in it quickly dropping out of the rankings.
Players should note that Redfall did not feature a 60 FPS performance mode on Xbox Series X at launch, and it’s set to be added to the game in a future update. As Redfall is a shooter, interested players may be waiting for the 60 FPS update to drop before giving it a shot. It’ll be interesting to see if Redfall can join the list of the most-played games on Xbox whenever this patch comes out, and if it manages to retain a healthy player base.
As expected, the list of the top 50 most-played games on Xbox consists of the biggest franchises in the industry like Call of Duty, Grand Theft Auto, FIFA, and more. Fortnite is at the front of this list, with Modern Warfare 2 and Apex Legends below it, while Destiny 2 is at number 7. The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim remains ever popular, while Mortal Kombat 11 and Elden Ring are also among the most-played games on Xbox.
