It is no secret that having an all-digital game library has many perks, one of which is enjoying the sales and deals digital storefronts offer. A few days ago, Microsoft launched the Xbox Ultimate Game Sale, offering Xbox players discounts of up to 80% off.

According to Xbox, the Ultimate Game Sale features hundreds of games, including some recent titles for the Xbox Series X and S. However, the majority of titles on offer consist of Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Xbox games. Moreover, the Ultimate Game Sale offers several DLC expansions for lower prices.

Destiny 2: The Witch Queen - $23.99

Headlining the Xbox Ultimate Game Sale is Destiny 2: The Witch Queen, which is the latest post-release expansion for the game. Destiny 2: The Witch Queen is available for $23.99 or 40% off its usual price of $39.99 for both the Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. For the uninitiated, Destiny 2: The Witch Queen was released in February this year and revolved around Savathun, the sister of Oryx, the Taken King.

Like Shadowkeep and Beyond The Light, Witch Queen is a standalone expansion and does not require players to own previously released DLCs. Additionally, The Witch Queen introduced new features to the game, such as weapon crafting, a new first-person melee weapon, the glaive, and a Master-level difficulty for The Witch Queen campaign.

The Quarry - $40.19

The Quarry is one of the most recent games players can get at the Xbox Ultimate Game Sale for a lower price. Released last month, The Quarry is an interactive drama horror game developed by Supermassive Games, the same studio behind Until Dawn. Players can get The Quarry for $40.19 or 33% off its original price, which is not bad for a game just a month old.

For the uninitiated, The Quarry lets players assume control of nine teenagers who must survive a night at Hackett's Quarry. Like Until Dawn, players must make decisions in-game, which will affect how the story unfolds and which character gets to survive till the end.

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy Definitive Edition - $38.99

Next up is GTA: The Trilogy Definitive Edition, which is available for $38.99 or 35% off its usual price of $59.99. For the uninitiated, GTA: The Trilogy Definitive Edition includes GTA: Vice City, GTA: San Andreas, and GTA 3 in one solid package. It is worth noting that all three games in the definitive edition have been remastered and received visual enhancements alongside gameplay upgrades.

Unfortunately, the trilogy did not have the most successful launch, given that players found the quality of the remasters to be abysmal, earning it low scores on Metacritic. However, despite its rough launch, Rockstar Games claims that Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition did exceed its expectations after selling over 10 million copies.

Call of Duty: Vanguard - $29.99

Another game players should buy now that it is considerably cheaper is Call of Duty: Vanguard. Serving as the latest mainline entry in the Call of Duty franchise, Call of Duty: Vanguard is now available for $29.99 or 50% off its original price of $59.99. It is worth remembering that Call of Duty: Vanguard received mixed reviews during its release, especially with its Zombies mode. Luckily for those yet to try the game, Call of Duty: Vanguard still has a pretty active player base. For a limited time this week, all players will have free access to Call of Duty: Vanguard's different modes, which is perfect for new players who want to try them out at no cost.
