While Microsoft may have lost its biggest launch title, Halo: Infinite, to an unfortunate delay, the company continues to be full steam ahead with its Xbox Series X launch plans. In fact, even though Halo: Infinite was delayed into 2021, its tie-in promotion with Monster Energy is going forward as planned as well. Eagle-eyed fans have already begun to scour the fine print in the hopes of figuring out more information such as a possible release date or price point.

Recent rumors point to an Early November launch for Microsoft's latest console, though many continue to wonder at how much the Xbox Series X will actually cost. Although the Monster Energy and Halo: Infinite promotion doesn't actually kick off until September 1, new details regarding prizes have already come to light. Naturally, prizes include a copy of the game as well as an actual console to play it on.

As part of the legal fine print, Monster confirms that the total ARV of all prizes adds up to $119,998 and with 200 prizes in total, which evenly divides into a value of $599.99 for each prize. Monster specifically claims the price of the Xbox Series X hasn't been revealed yet, but the math here is a little eye opening. It's possible that the console itself is valued at $599.99 with Halo: Infinite being included. Alternatively, Halo: Infinite could be set at the normal $59.99 which means the Xbox is then set at $549.99.

Whatever the case may be, if this is indeed a hint at the possible console price, it may be a bit higher than most people had begun to think. Numerous rumors and speculation indicate that Microsoft may have an advantage over Sony's upcoming PlayStation 5 based on price point alone. Speculation seems to have always had the PS5 coming in at a higher cost for consumers over the Xbox Series X, though if this promotion is to be believed then the two consoles may be more alike than many assumed.

Even without Master Chief's return this November, players can still prepare for his arrival in 2021 through the Monster Energy promotion. The "Bank Now, Play Later" system lets players turn in codes from specifically marked packages to earn double XP for when the game launches. In addition, players can enter for a chance to win prizes such as the XBox Series X mentioned above as well as a zero gravity experience in Paris, France. At this time, it's not clear at what exactly players can unlock with experience inside of Halo: Infinite.

Halo Infinite is set to release sometime in 2021 for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
