The Xbox Series X pre-order page goes live on the official Microsoft site, suggesting that a price announcement could be coming very soon. Microsoft has steadily been announcing more information about the console, having held an Xbox Series X gameplay reveal event earlier this month.

The Xbox Series X now has its own pre-order page on the Microsoft site, allowing fans to sign-up and enter their email address so that they can get more information when it is available. The console is not currently available for pre-order, as what would be the "Buy" button for the console says "Coming Soon" and has been grayed out. The rest of the page features confirmed information about the console such as its specs, its support for 8K graphics, and backward compatibility.

The decision to make public the Xbox Series X pre-order page may suggest that Microsoft is preparing to confirm the console's price. There have been a huge number of rumors about how much the Xbox Series X will cost with the most popular suggestion being a price tag of $400.

This price, which has not been officially confirmed, would put the console in good stead to take on the PS5 which is expected to be more expensive. There are also rumors that there will be limited PS5 stock because the price is higher.

If that is what Microsoft is planning then an announcement could potentially come and one of the Xbox Series X reveal events. Microsoft has said that there will be some sort of event in June, followed by an Xbox Game Studios Xbox Series X event in July. This July event will bring with it information about games developed by Xbox teams like Obsidian Entertainment. One game that will be at the event is Xbox Series X launch title Halo Infinite. Price and release date news will likely come at one of these two events.

Fans will also be looking for information about how Microsoft is going to make the Xbox Series X more affordable. Xbox boss Phil Spencer has confirmed that the team plans to go big with Xbox All Access, a subscription program that allows gamers to pay for a console monthly rather than buying it outright at once. This could be an incredibly important part of the Xbox Series X sales plan as not only could it help the console get an early sales lead over the PS5, but it could also push unsure Xbox One players to getting an upgrade.
