It seems like Xbox fans have experienced a rollercoaster of emotions over the past week. While many players were enthused to hear that Xbox had acquired Bethesda on Monday, those same players were less than thrilled to deal with the chaos that occurred when attempting to pre-order the Xbox Series X on Tuesday. And while some players are wondering if they will even be able to get their hands on the new console in the first place, GameStop has announced a new deal that will allow that upgrade to come a lot easier.

From now until November 30, 2020, players can get some major deals on the Xbox Series X, Series S, and the PS5 by trading in their old consoles at GameStop. This trade offer will give players extra cash depending on what console is being traded, with up to $200 of credit when they trade in their Xbox One X or PS4 Pro towards one of the new consoles.

This deal seems like it could go well for players looking to save some money on the $500 Xbox Series X or the $300 Xbox Series S, especially if they are looking into expanding the storage of the new console. Xbox recently announced that its proprietary Series X and Series S 1 TB external hard drive will cost $220, and while players can use any USB 3.1 external drive with the new consoles, they will only work for backward compatible games.

Xbox Series X Series S Limited Pre-Orders GameStop

While this deal seems like a no-brainer for players attempting to get an Xbox Series X without breaking the bank, the actual availability of the consoles at GameStop might give some pause. Several reports began circulating before pre-orders went live stating that GameStop's supply of the Series X and Series S were very limited, with some stores getting as few 6 Series X and 2 Series S.

This limited availability was likely reflected by how fast the new Xbox sold out across multiple retailers. Xbox has triumphantly announced that it is humbled by the high demand for the new consoles, before reassuring players that these retailers would be restocking soon and that it would have more available when the consoles release on November 10.

While GameStop is offering incentives to purchase one of the new Xbox consoles from it, players in Japan seem to be receiving a different kind of deal. Japanese players can pre-order an Xbox Series S for ¥29,980, which comes to about $284.21. While $15 might not seem like much, $15 could always land a player 1 month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate with many new games to play on their new console.

Xbox Series X is set to release on November 10, 2020.
