Microsoft is giving away a limited edition Xbox Series X console and controller to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Porsche, the luxury German automobile manufacturer. This partnership brings new exclusive designs for the Xbox Series X, letting players showcase their love for Porsche while playing games on Microsoft’s console.

Microsoft released a limited edition of the Xbox Series X to celebrate the launch of Halo Infinite back in November 2021, letting players showcase their appreciation for the Master Chief’s adventures with a themed console and controller. Since then, the company released various new designs for Xbox controllers, mainly changing the default color and adding patterns like camouflage or designs to celebrate specific events like Xbox’s 20th anniversary. Recently, leakers spotted dedicated Starfield Xbox controllers, which should be revealed at the Starfield Direct scheduled for June 11.

Xbox is teaming up with Porsche to celebrate the car brand’s 75th anniversary with 75 limited edition Xbox Series X consoles inspired by six famous Porsche race cars. During the Summer Game Fest 2023 showcase, Xbox unveiled the first design for this collaboration with an Xbox Series X and controller inspired by the Porsche 963, a sports prototype car racing this weekend at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. These custom consoles are not for sale, but those who would like to get these limited editions Xbox Series X can enter sweepstakes for a chance to win these special themed consoles.

To introduce this partnership, Microsoft and Porsche released a video highlighting some of the best sports cars from this luxury brand. The iconic design of these sports cars inspired the colors and patterns of limited editions of Xbox Series X consoles and controllers, with bright colors and unique designs branded with the name Porsche and a large 75 across both the console and controllers to celebrate the company’s 75th anniversary.

This collaboration between Porsche and Microsoft is not the first time the luxury car brand has targeted the gaming market. Earlier this year, Porsche revealed its own extremely expensive gaming chair inspired by sports car seats. The brand also teamed up with AOC to release a curved gaming monitor, and players can regularly find Porsche cars in popular racing games such as Need for Speed and Forza Horizon. Porsche and Microsoft already worked together to host an online contest for racing car players to enter a 24-hour race in Le Mans.
