Although the Xbox Series X's controller isn't that much different from its Xbox One predecessor, many have argued that it's an improvement on the formula and one of the best home console controllers ever made. One Twitch streamer wasn't satisfied with just owning one controller, so he decided to create his own entirely out of LEGO bricks.

Streamer BrickinNick is known for his impressive video game-themed LEGO builds, but his recent creation of a to-scale version of the Xbox Series X black controller is one of his most impressive. The build gets so many details right from the general size and color of the face buttons to the rear side battery pack that features two LEGO AA batteries.

BrickinNick created the entire build on his Twitch channel over the past week. The to-scale controller took plenty of planning and revisions, so the four streams lasted well over three hours each, with the longest session going for 4 hours and 33 minutes. Following the completion of the Xbox controller, BrickinNick started work on a to-scale LEGO version of the PlayStation 5's DualSense controller yesterday.

According to his Twitter account, the streamer will also be working on LEGO recreations of both the Xbox Series X and the PS5 as his next major project once the DualSense is completed. Although the Series X is a relatively simple rectangular cube, it seems likely that BrickinNick will include some extra details to showcase his building prowess and to highlight some of the console's most interesting visual features like the green vents on either side of it.

BrickinNick also encourages gaming enthusiasts who would purchase their own version of the LEGO Xbox controller to create an account with LEGO Ideas and support the project once he's posted it to the site. If the build gains enough traction, it could be turned into a real set sold by LEGO themselves.

This isn't the first time that gaming fans have turned their ideas for LEGO sets into officially licensed products by the company as, earlier this year, one fan's design for a Sonic Mania-themed set was officially sold by the LEGO Company. Hopefully, BrickinNick's Series X and PS5 builds get the same official set treatment as they would likely be hot items for collectors. If the recent run of Xbox Series X mini-fridges proves anything, it's that fans are itching to enjoy video game hardware in any way that they can, even if that means building it themselves.
