With a number of major video game conventions seeing cancellations in the wake of the pandemic, many are wondering when this year's biggest new announcements will finally come to light. After all, since the reveal that E3 will no longer take place next month, players have heard of a number of major games originally slated for the event, including the rumored Harry Potter RPG and the newest game in the Arkham franchise. Yet, it seems fans will get to see what one major console manufacturer had in store very soon.

The console manufacturer in question is none other than Xbox, with a leaker recently claiming that the company will supposedly reveal a number of new Xbox Series X projects in the coming weeks. The rumor comes from Twitter user Klobrille, who, after discussing the lineup of games coming to the Xbox Series X, responded to a fan revealing the timeline for when players will be getting more news.

The interaction began after Klorbrille stated, "with Halo Infinite, Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2, Everwild, and Project Mara, Xbox is the only platform that actually has first-party games for the next generation window announced. And they've barely started yet," to which a second user asked, "How close you think we are to seeing something new?" Klobrille responded to the commenter by stating "I think weeks, not months," implying that the news will be very soon.

Of course, Klobrille's timeline does line up almost perfectly with what fans have been hearing from Microsoft following the announcement that E3 will be canceled. The company indicated that it planned to host a digital event to compensate for the showcase, which will likely air in a similar timeframe and show off what the company is currently working on. With the Xbox Series X inching closer and closer to launch, it makes sense that Microsoft will likely want to announce its plans in the coming weeks, leaving plenty of time for players to become acquainted with the console in the lead up to its release.

Perhaps the most crucial missing piece thus far is the Series X's launch lineup, with many wondering what games could possibly be released with the console. While fans know Halo: Infinite will be available, many are wondering what other titles will join the console's library, with many wishing for a new Forza and a new entry in the Fable franchise. Hopefully, it won't be long until Xbox's plans are finally revealed.
