On January 5, Microsoft announced a new Xbox Series X bundle that will include Forza Horizon 5 Premium Edition as the pack-in game. The Forza Horizon 5 bundle is headed to retailers across the world, starting in North America and parts of Asia before heading to other regions down the line.
Developed by Playground Games and published by Microsoft Game Studios, Forza Horizon 5 is the latest entry in the long-running Forza series. The Forza Horizon series celebrated its 10th anniversary late last year with plenty of content for Forza Horizon 5 players to take part in. With the vast, open roads of Mexico for players to drive through at their leisure and plenty of cars and customization options that can be unlocked and picked from, Forza Horizon 5 is the most ambitious game in the franchise to date. Forza Horizon 5 is capable of ray tracing and can run in 4K and 60 frames per second while in performance mode on the Xbox Series X, according to Microsoft.
The Xbox Series X bundle with Forza Horizon 5 Premium Edition will be released this week in North America and parts of Asia. Other regions such as Europe, Latin America, and more will see the bundle hit store shelves later in January. The bundle will have an estimated retail price of $559 in the US, and similar pricing in other regions, though Microsoft stated that the actual retail price may vary depending on country and retailer. This new bundle will include the Xbox Series X console, which comes with an Xbox Wireless Controller and all necessary cables, and Forza Horizon 5 Premium Edition. This edition includes the base game, as well as various downloadable content packs. The DLC included with this bundle consists of the Hot Wheels expansion, a VIP Pass, a Car Pass, a Welcome Pack, and the upcoming second expansion when it launches. The second expansion does not have a name at the time of writing.
The bundle is available for pre-order starting today on the Microsoft Store in the US. Alternatively, current Xbox and PC players can play Forza Horizon 5 via Xbox Game Pass as well. With hundreds of games to choose from, and titles being added constantly, Microsoft is continuing to bank big on Xbox Game Pass.
With continued updates and free cars being handed out in the game, Forza Horizon 5 shows no signs of slowing down just yet. Between the new Xbox Series X bundle and the game's inclusion in Xbox Game Pass, the timing has never been better to give Forza Horizon 5 a spin.
