Update 11/10: It appears as though the Xbox Live service issues have been fixed.

Original story follows.

Microsoft has officially launched both the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles, ushering in the next generation of gaming in the process. All over the world, gamers are setting up their new Xbox consoles to try the various Xbox Series X launch titles. Unfortunately, many Xbox Series X users are reporting issues with signing in to their new Xbox consoles, with Xbox Live experiencing various problems.

Many users are currently unable to sign in to their Xbox Series X consoles, with the problems seemingly having started within the last 30 minutes or so. And since players can't sign in to their Xbox Series X consoles, they are unable to play any of the games that they may have purchased digitally or planned on downloading through Xbox Game Pass. While we were personally able to sign in to the Xbox Series X, we have been unable to sign in to additional accounts on the system, being treated to an infinite loading circle. We are also unable to purchase some games from the store.

It's unclear exactly how many Xbox Series X users are currently dealing with these issues, but based on our own testing and various forum posts, it definitely seems to be fairly widespread.

Technical issues like this are expected whenever a new video game console launches, but hopefully Microsoft addresses the problem and fixes it quickly. After all, this issue is keeping Xbox Series X early adopters from playing their expensive new console, and is undoubtedly going to lead to some frustration. For now, Xbox fans will just have to standby and wait for more information.

We will update this article as soon as Xbox Series X sign-ins are restored.
