At the beginning of the new console generation, Xbox released the Xbox Series S alongside the Series X and many gamers have taken to the smaller yet still capable machine. One Xbox fan that requested an Xbox Series S for their birthday got a pleasant surprise from their husband with the console itself.

Reddit user Armyjackson recently shared two images of their Xbox Series S birthday cake that they received from their husband originally in place of an actual Xbox Series S. The impressively baked cake is remarkably similar to an Xbox Series S console and not only does it look like the console, it also seems to be made to scale. Compared to the Xbox Series X and PS5, the Series S is notably smaller and fits in more entertainment units, but based on Armyjackson's photos, it's an ideal cake size.

The first photo of Armyjackson's Xbox Series S birthday cake shows the front of the console replica, with the USB-A port and pairing button for the missing Xbox controller reflected on the bottom left. Like the recently released console, the top of the cake has a circular pattern that resembles a speaker but acts as an airway on an Xbox Series S to keep it cool. Although the cake has clearly been cooled in a way to prevent the frosting from melting off, this pattern is strictly for aesthetic purposes in the Xbox Series S cake.

On the backside of Armyjackson's birthday cake is fittingly a plethora of ports to reflect the console effectively, with a power port, an Ethernet jack, two USB-A ports, an HDMI port, and a storage expansion slot. Considering the round black vent atop the Xbox Series S cake is seemingly made of modeling chocolate or fondant, these rear ports also may be formed by the same material, and they are almost perfectly shaped to what the console calls for. While the Xbox Series S birthday cake is notably mostly white and thus may be vanilla flavored, the flavor of the cake is currently unclear as well as what the inside of the cake looks like.

Because the new consoles are in shorter supply than previous generations, Armyjackson may have been content to receive just the Xbox-themed cake, but their husband also had another gift. Armyjackson not only received this Xbox Series S cake for their birthday, but the Xbox fan has confirmed that they also received the console that they wanted as well. Many fans responding to Armyjackson's cake celebrate not only the attention to detail in the Xbox cake's decor, but have congratulated the new Xbox Series S owner on their present.
