[Update: Contrary to strong rumors it might be called the Xbox Scorpio, Microsoft officially revealed its new console will be named Xbox One X. Read on more details on the Xbox One X, including price release date, and specs.]

Microsoft’s E3 2017 press conference is just a couple hours away, but details of what it will entail have already been leaked ahead of time. The latest bit of information leaked has to deal with Project Scorpio, as Best Buy Canada has prematurely sent out a newsletter that seems to confirm that the console’s final name will be Xbox Scorpio.

At the time of this writing, we can’t confirm if this information is entirely accurate, but it wouldn’t make sense for Best Buy Canada to send out a newsletter with fake logos and information. Fans will just have to wait a couple hours to learn definitively if the leak is true or not, but it seems safe to say that Microsoft will indeed reveal that its upgraded Xbox One is called Xbox Scorpio come show time.

The leaking of Xbox Scorpio’s name is just the latest major leak Microsoft’s E3 2017 press conference has suffered today. A few hours ago, Geoff Keighley took to Twitter to reveal Xbox Scorpio’s price of $499, which was arguably one of the most anticipated pieces of information from Microsoft’s event. Of course, it’s worth noting that Keighley’s claim has yet to be confirmed by Microsoft, but answers will come soon enough.

Now that Xbox Scorpio’s name and price have both been leaked ahead of Microsoft’s E3 2017 press conference, one has to hope that the company has some other surprises up its sleeve. Microsoft claims that its press conference is going to be extra long this year in order for it to showcase more games, but we will have to wait and see if there is any truth to that promise.

Besides the games that are almost guaranteed to be shown during Microsoft’s show, like Crackdown 3 and Sea of Thieves, a couple of new game announcements have been leaked ahead of time. If the leaks are true, both Ori and the Blind Forest 2 and Forza Motorsport 7 will be revealed later today, with the latter running in native 4K resolution on Xbox Scorpio.

If these leaks are legitimate, hopefully Microsoft has more surprises in store to wow E3 attendees and the Xbox faithful watching from home.
