Gamers intent on buying the "world's most powerful console" may be poised to get a little cherry on top from Microsoft, and it's something they'll see every time they boot up the upcoming Xbox One X. A recent Twitter post from Xbox marketing lead Albert Penello seems to hint that the Xbox One X will feature a unique start up screen, giving everyone who buys the console a special 4K splash screen that won't be available on the Xbox One or Xbox One S consoles.

Microsoft is known for placing unique content on its hardware, with every Xbox One X already set to ship with a Master Chief riding a scorpion imprinted on each optical disc drive. The company is less known for including software-based changes, but Microsoft might do exactly that for the Xbox One X once it releases this November.

Once the above reply was made, another user tweeted that Albert saying 'possibly' was a 'yes'. To this, Penello replied with "How did you know?" and a thumbs up gif, more or less confirming what most had already assumed. Microsoft hasn't provided any sneak peaks as to what this launch screen will look like, but one has to imagine the company would want to make it a splendid visual display. After all, the world's most powerful console certainly deserves an equally powerful introduction. Whether or not that will extend beyond a start-up screen is unclear, but there may be more secrets coming from Microsoft when the Xbox One X launches in early November.

Analysts predict that the Xbox One X will outsell the PS4 Pro, largely in part to its technical superiority. Signs of the console's early-bird success have been good, with the Xbox One X having already become the fastest-selling Xbox pre-order console ever. Its long-term success will take years to properly evaluate, but the next few weeks will help fill the gaps regarding the console's longevity - and, at a bare minimum, will answer just what the Xbox One X will have for its splash screen.

The Xbox One X releases on November 7, 2017.
