Halo 2 Anniversary Cutscenes Cinematics

Gamers who have been holding off on purchasing some of last year’s biggest releases will finally see their patience paid off this week. Microsoft has announce a huge sale – they’re calling it the Ultimate Sale – that will offer some of the biggest fall releases at some substantial discounts, and it begins today!

Earlier today, details of the Xbox One sale were slim, but Microsoft stepped in to finally reveal what games will be available and at what prices. One crafty NeoGAF member was able to get his hands on what looked to be some flyers from the sale, but their information did not encompass the entire sale. For one thing, the images did not include any Xbox 360 releases.

At a glance, the Ultimate Sale looks like one of the Xbox One platform’s most appealing sales, with over a dozen worthwhile games carrying some solid discounts. In some cases, we’ve seen a few of these games offered at even steeper discounts, but for some this is their first big sale.

It's also worth mentioning that some of the games listed in the leaked image are not yet on sale. If the image is legitimate, it sounds like there will be special bonus discounts throughout the sale including "Wicked Weekend Offers."

Most will likely find those Weekend offers the most enticing, if only because it features Halo: The Master Chief Collection at 25% off. What’s more, Xbox Live Gold members will see that 25% discount jump up to 60% off, which is a huge markdown for the recently released game. Obviously, the decision of whether to pull the trigger on the MCC will be heavily influenced by the game’s matchmaking troubles, but 60% off could prove hard to ignore.

Other Xbox One titles included in the sale are The Crew, Destiny, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Alien: Isolation, and Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor. All were fine releases from the past year, and like Halo will be hard to pass up for Xbox Live Gold members. Check out the leaked list of current sale items below:
