Microsoft's recent E3 showcase was filled with information on new games slated to launch on PC and Xbox Series X in the future, including Arkane's new vampire game Redfall, Avalanche's upcoming co-op title Contraband, and Bethesda Game Studios' first Xbox console exclusiveStarfield. While it seemed many Xbox One players would sadly be omitted from jumping into this lineup, a new update in an Xbox Wire article has revealed that might not be the case.

Speaking on the Microsoft and Bethesda showcase, the official Xbox website's piece clarifies that players will eventually be able to stream next-gen titles onto their Xbox One. "We are looking forward to sharing more about how we will bring many of these next-gen games, such as Microsoft Flight Simulator, to your console through Xbox Cloud Gaming," the statement reads.

Xbox doesn't expand on the comment, however, it hints streaming is a major part of its plans going forward. It also confirms that Microsoft Flight Simulator will be coming to Xbox One via Cloud Gaming following its port to Xbox Series X later this year, meaning more players will be able to hop into the immensely popular 2020 title. Seeing as the E3 conference confirmed there's a lot of huge games in the pipeline for the Series X, fans will likely be happy to know they'll have the ability to explore some marquee titles without having to splash out on a next-generation platform.

Xbox Cloud Gaming has been slowly but surely expanding in previous months, joining iOS and implementing touch controls into more games back in April. In terms of the latter, several huge games can now be played from a mobile device without the need for a controller, including Gears 5, Sea of Thieves, Minecraft Dungeons, Dragon Quest 11: Echoes of an Elusive Age, Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, and Spiritfarer. It'll be interesting to see how the service expands as Microsoft begins moving away from beta in the coming months.

For those who missed Microsoft and Bethesda's showcase, the two publishers offered an early look at an array of projects coming later this year and beyond. Forza Horizon 5 was announced and dated for this Fall, showcasing a detailed new map based in Mexico, while Halo Infinite offered another look at its campaign and multiplayer. Meanwhile, several new projects were revealed, including The Outer Worlds 2, Redfall, Contraband, A Plague Tale: Requiem, Sommerville, Slime Rancher 2, and more. The company's slate is pretty stacked heading into the latter half of 2021, with the conference confirming Psychonauts 2, 12 Minutes, The Gunk, Scorn, and Age of Empires 4 will all hit Xbox Series X before 2022 rolls around.
