As many gaming fans will likely agree, Microsoft had some sizable announcements during its Xbox E3 2018 press conference – from the reveal of Halo: Infinite to the confirmation of the tech firm already working on its next console, the company pulled out its big guns for the event. It seems as if this paid off from a perspective of viewership, as Microsoft's showcase during the expo has now been declared the highest watched live stream on Twitch ever since the platform's inception.

As seen in the data set provided by the fine folks at Githyp, Microsoft's Xbox E3 2018 press conference managed to draw in an impressive 1.7 million folks watching at its peak concurrent viewership. Interestingly enough, Ubisoft's presser at the event had a concurrent audience of 1.6 million, while Sony came in third with 1.5 million viewers watching its PlayStation showcase at the same time.

For those unaware, this is the second year in a row now that Microsoft’s live stream was the highest viewed stream on Twitch during E3 2018, and its numbers obviously spiked even higher this year than compared to last. As a matter of fact, Microsoft’s 2018 briefing saw a sumptuous increase of 600k concurrent viewers on Twitch – which doubled the 818k viewers that the company had back in 2016.

All things considered, while Microsoft pulled in the largest viewership among the companies displaying wares at E3 2018, its still arguable as to which press conference contained the most promise for the year ahead in terms of stellar games. PlayStation definitely had an impressive presser with a wide range of exclusive PlayStation 4 titles on-hand, and Nintendo pleased practically everyone by bringing out gameplay and a release date for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. At any rate, Microsoft's peak viewership for its Xbox E3 2018 press conference definitely shows a loyal fan base ready to see what the company has to offer.
