Another month is around the corner and Microsoft is preparing by announcing its Games with Gold lineup for November 2017. For a limited time, Xbox Live Gold members can enjoy discounts on a small selection of games for Xbox One and Xbox 360 -- two for each.

Starting November 1, Xbox One owners can get their hands on Trackmania Turbo, the arcade racer developed by Nadeo and published by Ubisoft. The series is known for allowing players to create their own tracks and share them with others online. Things can get chaotic depending on the number of players racing at the same time, but without collision it makes for something special

Tales from the Borderlands will follow Trackmania later in the month. It's Telltale's spin on the series, but done in the episodic, graphic adventure style the developer is known for. Everyone has their favorites when it comes to Telltale releases, but Tales from the Borderlands is towards the top when most people rank.

For the Xbox 360, members can enjoy the surreal classic action game Nights into Dreams. This very original title initially released for the Sega Saturn back in 1996. One of the driving ideas behind the design of the game was to simulate the feeling of free flight, which many fans agree was captured beautifully.

After this is the action-adventure Deadfall Adventure, a game starring a treasure hunter who encounters numerous supernatural obstacles. Note that both of these games can be played on Xbox One though backward compatibility.

Here is the complete list of Games with Gold for November 2017 and when they're available:

  • Trackmania Turbo ($39.99 ERP): Available November 1 to 30 on Xbox One
  • Tales from the Borderlands ($14.99 ERP): Available November 16 to December 15 on Xbox One
  • Nights into Dreams… ($9.99 ERP): Available November 1 to 15 on Xbox One and Xbox 360
  • Deadfall Adventure ($39.99 ERP): Available November 16 to 30 on Xbox One and Xbox 360

Before November rolls around, however, Xbox owners may want to take advantage of the ongoing Shocktober sale in the Xbox Store. There is a copious selection of horror titles for both consoles that are available for exceptional discounts. A lot of the focus of the sale is Resident Evil 7, which gets a price cut on both its deluxe and standard editions. There are also discounts on the accompanying DLC, as well as nearly every other entry in the series.
