Major Nelson has revealed Microsoft's upcoming line-up of free Games With Gold for the month of February 2018. Headlining the new month is the action-packed first-person shooter, Shadow Warrior. Once again Xbox Live subscribers will gain access to four games, two released on Xbox One and two on Xbox 360. Both Xbox 360 titles will work on Xbox One via backwards compatibility.
Here are the Microsoft's four titles available during February as part of Games With Gold:

As is typical for Games With Gold, each Xbox One title will be available for a full month. Shadow Warrior's month-long rotation starts on February 1 and Assassin's Creed Chronicles: India starts on February 16. The Xbox 360 will only be available for 15 days each, with Split/Second's availability starting February 1 and Crazy Taxi's starting February 16. Downloading a game during its availability window unlocks it permanently on an Xbox Live subscriber's account, so long as they remain subscribed.
On Xbox One this month there are two games that may have slipped past a lot of game players' radars. Shadow Warrior is a reboot of a classic PC first-person shooter from 3D Realms, filled a similar level of cheesy crude puns and over-the-top action to 3D Realms' other popular franchise Duke Nukem. Assassin's Creed Chronicles: India is a 2.5d platformer, the middle game in the Chronicles trilogy between China and Russia.
Split/Second is an arcade racer from the creators of MotoGP and ATV Offroad, critically well-received but a sales flop. The game's reality show premise didn't catch on, but that doesn't make it any less of a fun racer. And Crazy Taxi is exactly the same game it has always been since it originally launched on Dreamcast in 1999. The Xbox 360 version isn't anything special but should be good for those feeling nostalgic.
Download both Shadow Warrior on Xbox One and Split/Second on Xbox 360 starting February 1. Until then, make sure to pick up January's Games With Gold titles before they expire. January's currently available games include The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing 3 and Zombi for Xbox One, and Army of Two for Xbox 360.
