Shortly following an unsanctioned leak of the Xbox Games with Gold for August 2017, Microsoft has now officially unveiled exactly which titles will become available for free next month to premium subscribers of the last-generation console and current-era system’s online services. As usual, the company has now given gaming fans four games to look forward to on the platforms, which will include two titles for Xbox One and two releases for Xbox 360.

When it comes to the free Xbox One games being offered to Xbox Live Gold members in August, the first title fans should anticipate for inclusion in the program is Monomi Park’s first-person life simulation title Slime Rancher from August 1 (which marks its official launch date) through August 31. After Slime Rancher‘s availability, the console will receive Ubisoft’s platform racer Trials Fusion from August 16 through September 15.

As far as the Xbox 360’s free Games with Gold releases are concerned, some may argue that the older system is getting the better deals, as Platinum Games’ hack-and-slash title Bayonetta will be offered at no cost from August 1 through August 15, while Volition’s Red Faction: Guerrilla will be given for free from August 16 through August 31. Of course, Xbox One fans can also receive these titles, as they will be playable on the system through its backward compatibility program.

All things considered, while Xbox fans wait until August’s Games with Gold go live at the beginning of next month, Microsoft is still providing the chance to pick up some previously available freebies on both the Xbox One and Xbox 360. Although many would agree that next month’s titles are head and shoulders above the choices from the Games with Gold for July 2017, at least Microsoft made sure to provide a selection of titles across various genres for free.

The next slew of releases in Xbox‘s Games with Gold become available for Xbox 360 and Xbox One starting on August 1, 2017.
