A new round of Xbox's Games With Gold is near, as April arrives in less than a week. The new month will introduce four new games to the Xbox Games With Gold library, free for Xbox Live subscribers to download and play at their leisure. Two Xbox One games in The Technomancer and Outcast: Second Contact, and two backward compatible titles in Star Wars Battlefront 2 and Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2, will be made available starting on Monday, April 1.

Games With Gold's free Xbox One games for April may not be major brand names, but they're both significant in terms of scope and ambition. The Technomancer is set during the "War of Water" on a post-colonization Mars, offering up an epic and action-filled RPG story for players to immerse themselves in. Outcast: Second Contact is a remake of a 1999 open world game said to lay the foundation for the explosion of open world games to follow. The Technomancer will be available starting April 1 and Outcast: Second Contact will release April 15, with both games being available for 30 days.

Regarding the backward compatible titles, Star Wars: Battlefront 2's name should be familiar to most. This is the 2005 Xbox version of the multiplayer shooter, however, and not the modern game. Fight through major Clone Wars and Galactic Rebellion battles playing a variety of classic Star Wars classes. Star Wars: Battlefront 2 will be available from April 1 through April 15.

Second on the backward compatible list for Xbox fans is another shooter classic that needs no introduction, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2. The high-intensity tactical shooter released in 2007 tasks the player to manage a small squad of allies as they methodically dismantle an insurgency. GRAW 2 will be available starting April 16 through April 30.

That's four more games joining Xbox Live subscribers' Games With Gold libraries in the month of April. Two ambitious AA titles on Xbox One, a classic Xbox multiplayer game that should induce some nostalgia, and one of the best tactical shooters ever released.

Before these four games arrive, however, don't forget to pick up the remaining March Games With Gold titles that will only be available for a limited time. Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion, Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2, and the backward compatible Metal Gear: Rising Revengeance are all still available to download this week.
