November 2018 is just a couple of days away, which means that it's time once again for Microsoft to unveil the next month of Games With Gold. Two Xbox One games and two Xbox 360 (available on Xbox One with backwards compatibility) will once again be made freely available to Xbox Live Gold subscribers. Availability for November's Games With Gold will be split as usual, with one Xbox One game and one Xbox 360 game unlocking on November 1 and the next two unlocking November 15.

This November's games should be well-received by Xbox owners. The lead Xbox One title is Battlefield 1, EA's blockbuster online multiplayer shooter from 2017, and the lead Xbox 360 title is a classic game from one of today's biggest franchise's.

  • Xbox One
    • Battlefield 1 (Nov. 1 - 30)
    • Race the Sun (Nov. 16 - Dec. 15)
  • Xbox 360
    • Assassin's Creed (Nov. 1 - 15)
    • Dante's Inferno (Nov. 16 - 30)

For those who aren't aware, EA is currently running a promotion on Xbox One in which the Battlefield 1 Premium Pass is available for free. However, the promotion ends tomorrow, prior to Battlefield 1 going live for Gold subscribers. In other words, any Gold subscribers planning to pick up Battlefield 1 on November 1 should download the free Premium Pass in the Xbox store as soon as possible.

On Xbox One, players will be able to download both Battlefield 1 and Race the Sun. Battlefield 1 is 2017's iteration in the popular Battlefield franchise that's set during WW1 and features a solid single-player campaign and a robust selection of multiplayer modes. Race the Sun is a fast-paced indie racing game where players dodge environmental obstacles in an increasingly difficult chase to reach the horizon before the sun sets.

The original Assassin's Creed headlines November's Xbox 360 selection of Games With Gold. Ubisoft has reinvented the franchise with Assassin's Creed Origins and Odyssey, but players can now experience the origin of the franchise for themselves. Dante's Inferno is an underrated oddity, a violent action-adventure title from the now-defunct Visceral Games. Dante braves the depths of hell both to save his love and redeem his soul in an experience similar to God of War.

Xbox Games With Gold goes live starting November 1, which gives Gold subscribers one more day to download the remnants of October's games: Overcooked! and Hitman: Blood Money.
