Tech giant LG recently conducted a study in partnership with video game publisher Activision where its goal was to determine if PC, PS4, or Xbox users were "better" gamers. According to LG, the results of the study show that Xbox players are "better" at video games than those who game on PC and PS4, with PC gamers faring the worst.

The study was conducted using LG's Elite Reaction Test, wherein users clicked on targets as fast as possible. This was to determine player accuracy, how many targets they hit, how many they missed, and how quickly they were able to hit each target. In total, over 1,400 people participated in the test.

The study showed that Xbox players were able to hit 78% of the targets, PS4 players were able to hit 74% of the targets, and PC players were able to hit 70% of the targets. However, while PC players struggled with accuracy, they were shown to react faster to the targets than their console counterparts.

The test can be found by clicking here, and was apparently put into place to promote the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. The results of the test are suspect, though, and not very scientific. After all, players could simply lie about whatever their platform of choice is, and then purposefully do worse in an attempt to skew the results.

It doesn't seem that the results are supposed to be all that serious, though. In fact, it seems more like a marketing ploy on the part of LG. In the press release about the study, LG marketing manager David Hall said, "No matter how you choose to play, we’re dedicated to creating the best gaming experience we can, with our range of low latency 4K HDR gaming TVs designed to do games justice."

While this study is clearly flawed, the results may still be interesting to some gamers. However, it's unlikely to settle the ongoing debate about which gaming platform is best.
