Xbox Game Pass has been quite successful since its original launch in 2017. However, the program certainly feels like it’s picked up steam over the last two years. New games regularly join Xbox Game Pass, making the subscriptions service seem like an increasingly good deal for some gamers.

The subscription service also offers a variety of free perks every month. Starting today, Xbox Game Pass subscribers can access a three-month free trial of YouTube Premium.

For those who don’t know, YouTube premium is a subscription-based service that lets users watch YouTube videos ad-free. It also lets subscribers download videos or music to watch offline and listen to both in the background while the app is closed. Additionally, YouTube Premium allows users to stream original movies and shows on the platform.

A YouTube Premium membership usually costs $12 a month, and that’s presumably what Game Pass subscribers will also have to pay once the three-month free trial ends. That’s a total of $27 every month for both memberships, so it doesn’t seem like a good reason to join Game Pass on its own. However, if someone’s already a Game Pass subscriber who’s on the fence about YouTube Premium, it is an excellent opportunity to try it out. Notably, the free trial is only for new Premium members, so existing subscribers won’t get much out of it.

The good news is that the free trial of YouTube Premium isn’t the only perk Game Pass subscribers get this month. Subscribers can also get a free 75 days of Crunchyroll Premium. The streaming service lets members watch hit anime like One Piece, My Hero Academia, and Demon Slayer, along with many other shows and original series. Xbox Game Pass subscribers can also unlock various in-game rewards for Marvel’s Avengers, Eternal Return, and Smite x Transformers. Game Pass subscribers can redeem these perks in the Game Pass Perks gallery on console, PC, or the Xbox Game Pass mobile app.

In addition to the perks, Xbox is adding new games to Game Pass, with Dead Space and Dragon Age: Origins available now. Microsoft also announced several additional titles on their way, including Fae Tactics, My Friend Pedro, Undungeon, Mortal Shell, and Evil Genius 2, among others.

Unfortunately, several games are also on their way out. Call of the Sea, Hello Neighbor, FIFA 19, Football Manager 2021, Haven, Morkredd, and Va-11 Hall-A all leave Game Pass on November 30th. Additionally, Bungie’s Destiny 2: Beyond Light departs Xbox Game Pass on December 8th.
