Xbox Game Pass is widely considered to be the best subscription service available in the gaming industry. Players get access to all Microsoft-published games on day 1, in addition to some third-party and indie titles. The value offered by Xbox Game Pass has substantially increased due to Microsoft’s purchase of Bethesda and Activision Blizzard, but the latter deal will only get finalized sometime next year.

In addition to games, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate offers all the benefits of Xbox Live Gold and some other perks. Most notably, Microsoft gave access to the Premium version of popular anime streaming service Crunchyroll for 75 days, and this offer just recently lapsed on March 8. It’s interesting to note that Crunchyroll is owned by Sony, but the upcoming MLB The Show 22 is also scheduled to be a day 1 release on Xbox Game Pass, so this news is not too unusual. Now, Microsoft has confirmed that another subscription service will be offered as an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Perk.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will get 30 days of Paramount+ for free. Fans can claim this offer from March 23, and enjoy all the content offered by Paramount+. It looks like this deal was primarily made around the launch of the Halo TV series, which debuts on March 24 exclusively on Paramount+. The post on the official Xbox website contains more information on the Halo TV series and its latest trailer.

halo tv show release date

This move will make sure that all eyes will be on the Halo TV show when it premieres next week. It further increases the value of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Xbox fans are undoubtedly pleased to hear this news. Halo will have 9 episodes, with new ones releasing every week, so fans will have to subscribe to Paramount+ after the end of the 1-month period. Still, it's enough to give fans more than a taste of the series, and encourage them to subscribe to Paramount+ to continue watching the show.

Xbox Game Pass has already offered several great games in 2022, with more coming later this month. Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy is perhaps the biggest surprise addition to the Xbox Game Pass catalog and subscribers can now also play Tunic, which launched a couple of days ago to rave reviews. Other notable games include Zero Escape: The Nonary Games and the console version of Crusader Kings 3, which will get added on March 22 and 29 respectively.
